Our stay at Rugby Gardens was wonderful! Sue Anne and Kelly were great hosts. We loved staying in an old Victorian house in Brooklyn. One night we bought a bottle of wine and Sue Anne served crackers and cheese as we sat in the beautiful garden, enjoying the harvest moon.
My wife & I were in NY for a family funeral and had a very comfortable stay at this B&B in Brooklyn. Rugby Gardens is quiet, quaint and homey. Sue and Michael were very welcoming, extremely knowledgeable and helpful with all our needs as well as respectful and gracious during this difficult time. Recommendations for local restaurants, attractions in the surrounding areas (easy commute to Manhattan) and afternoon offers of tea and cookies added to its overall ambience! We felt very much a part of the home and family for the four nights we were there.
Rugby Gardens is a charming, cozy and clean bed and breakfast. The innkeepers are real New Yorkers in the best sense. The B and B is in a picuresque, vibrant neighborhood that gives an appealing exposure to a real NY residential life of families and children. It is on a street of mature trees and Victorian homes. Manhattan is easily accessible by public transportation.
